Phoenix Skills Day

The AMSC Phoenix Soccer skills day is October 26. The event will be from 1:30pm-2:30pm at the Matawan Regional High School.  All players must register in order to participate in the program

What is Phoenix?

AMSC offers a Special Needs Soccer Program for girls & boys who are between the ages of 5 and 15 years old with mental and/or physical disabilities*.  Through the implementation of the 'Buddy' system, our volunteer soccer buddies offer our players support and guidance in a positive and fun atmosphere.  Our volunteer coaches and buddies will help these young athletes learn the game of soccer through a variety of fun soccer-themed activities, appropriate to the ability and ages of the players.  Additionally, our players and buddies will work on social skills, such as taking turns, sharing, and cooperative play.

*At this time we can only accommodate players who do not use walkers/crutches/wheelchairs/etc.  For the ages and players with these specified disabilities that we are currently unable to accommodate please accept our regrets.  We aim to include children of all ages and disabilities in the near future.

Want to be a Buddy?

Girls and boys ages 10 to 17 that are interesting in being trained as buddies for any of the Phoenix programs offered by AMSC should contact us at [email protected] for information.
